Discover the century-old Simplon and Lötschberg lines aboard the Green Train of the Alps, from Domodossola to Bern.
The 2-Day Pass includes:
  • 2 days of unlimited travel of your choice within a 3-day window (does not need to be consecutive). It is ideal for short stays in Bern, Thun, Spiez, and the surrounding areas, and includes a boat cruise on Lake Thun, which can be taken on either the 1st or 2nd day;
  • Validity on the Domodossola – Bern rail route, exclusively on BLS trains;
  • Unlimited boat cruises on Lake Thun on the days of validity.

  • Seat reservation is not required; passengers may sit in any available seat upon boarding
The Green Train of the Alps offers a spectacular journey of about two hours along the historic Simplon and Lötschberg lines, connecting Domodossola to Bern or Interlaken. Thanks to its wide panoramic windows, the route allows you to admire the Valais terraces, the Rhone Valley, Kandersteg, and the Jungfrau peaks in the Bernese Oberland.

Choose your itinerary in Spiez. Once you arrive at the station, you can customize your journey: continue towards Bern by train along the lake, or by combining a boat cruise and a train; alternatively, you can reach Interlaken West by sailing across the turquoise waters of Lake Thun.
Information for Italian citizens: Switzerland is a member of the Schengen Agreement.
  • Adults: A valid identity card for travel abroad or a valid passport, to be presented if requested by local authorities.
  • Minors: In addition to their identity document, Italian minors under the age of 14 may travel abroad if accompanied by at least one parent or legal guardian, or with an official accompaniment declaration issued by a competent authority (Questura in Italy, or a consular office abroad).

  • Receive your confirmation. The purchase receipt contains a reference number; it is not a valid travel ticket and does not allow you to board the train.
  • Activate your days. Go to www.activateyourpass.com and enter your reference number to choose your 2 travel days.
  • Download your tickets. You can download the tickets to show on board only after the activation process is complete. The ticket can be displayed to the conductor directly from your smartphone, but it is highly recommended to print it out on a blank sheet of A4 paper.
  • The time is flexible: you are not bound to a specific train. You can hop on and hop off as you please, stop at your preferred stations, and choose your return time with total freedom. If you miss a train, simply take the next one.
